Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP)
The Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP), developed jointly by CSU and UC faculty members, offers tests for California students from the pre-algebra level to calculus.
The MDTP tests are administered by more than 6,133 high school and middle school teachers to over 482,000 students.
In addition, more than 225,000 California Community College students took the MDTP.
MDTP provides services, testing materials and scoring to teachers and schools (grades 7-12) at no charge.
There are six tests: Pre Algebra Readiness, Algebra Readiness, Geometry Readiness, Second Year Algebra Readiness, Mathematical Analysis Readiness, and Calculus Readiness. Schools may receive further information about the program by contacting:
