Cal Poly offers one campus tour and an admissions presentation every weekday (Monday - Friday), except for holidays when the campus is closed. Those interested in either option, please meet at the information desk in the University Union at the appropriate time.

11:10 am to 12:30 pm Campus walking tour 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Admissions presentations for all prospective Freshmen and Transfer students.

For all tours please wear appropriate walking shoes and a hat is suggested. Please plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to the beginning of your tour due to parking.

Please note: Tours are led by current Cal Poly students and provide a general overview of the campus, and a first-hand student perspective on campus and residential life. There are no tours offered on Saturdays or Sundays. And the tour does not include the residence halls. Cal Poly does not make arrangements for individual or customized campus tours.

Self-guided tours are an alternative for visitors unable to visit our campus on tour days. Self-guided tour maps are available at the information booth at the Grand Avenue entrance to campus, in the Admissions Office in Room 206 of the Administration Building, and at the University Union Information Desk, which is open on weekends. Cal Poly has an "open door" policy and you are welcome into any building, office, or classroom that has an open door. However, to view a class in session, it is suggested you contact the department or college to make arrangements beforehand. Please note: the residence halls are not open to the public.

Admissions Information Session presented by Cal Poly Admissions Counselors and are offered every weekday (Monday - Friday) except for major holidays when the campus is closed. SDSU campus tours are a two-hour program that includes a walking tour encompassing the main part of campus including narration on the history and traditions of the University, and a 60-minute interactive presentation provided by an SDSU admissions representative. SDSU campus tours are conducted daily during the academic year at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and on a reduced schedule during winter break and summer. Reservations need to be made at least one day in advance.

SDSU campus tours may be scheduled online using the online Family Tour Reservation System at www.sdsu.edu/campustour. All SDSU campus tours depart from the Prospective Student Center in the Student Services building, located at the base of the clock tower (see the Campus Map). These special Saturday tours, offered selected weekends during the fall semester, takes place from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. (see schedule below). The SDSU At a Glance tour includes the following:

• Information session for prospective students that includes the following topics: Why SDSU?, admissions and housing information.
• Walking tour of the SDSU campus.
• Special feature on an academic program. The following topics will be featured at the SDSU At a Glance Tours: study abroad (October 6); business administration college and major (October 20); preprofessional studies - programs that feature prehealth, predental, prelaw, etc. (November 3); and engineering college and major (November 17). If you are interested in majoring in business administration or engineering, or going into a preprofessional program, you are especially encouraged to attend the special SDSU At a Glance tour featuring these programs.
