CSU Dominguez Hills

Dominguez Hills is located in Carson, California, not far away from the beach. Warm temperatures are the norm. Generally the autumn temperatures are around 70 degrees with rain in the latter part of the year and early months. This is a wonderful climate for being outdoors.

CSU East Bay

The San Francisco Bay area is blessed with very moderate weather all year. The fall days are shorter with temperatures in the mid-60s, cooler in the morning and evenings dipping into the 40s with chilly winds developing in October. Winter begins in December and with it what we call our rainy season accompanied by cooler temperatures. Occasional frost and temperatures dipping at times into the mid-30's is not unusual. With spring in early March come the flowers and temperatures that rise into the mid-60s to over 70s. Mornings and evenings rarely dip below the 50s. Summer usually starts in early June and most of the Bay Areas has very comfortable temperatures, typically in the mid-70s to low-80s with some spots in the east bay as high as the 90s.

CSU Fresno

Blessed with sunshine 83 percent of the year, Fresno's weather is relatively mild and pleasant throughout the year. The climate in the county varies from Mediterranean on the valley floor (100 feet above sea level) to Alpine (at the nearby mountain peaks, 14,000 feet in altitude.)

CSU Fullerton

At Cal State Fullerton, students enjoy a Mediterranean climate, with rainfall averaging only 14 inches per year and generally mild days (freezing or 100-degree temperatures are uncommon).

Humboldt State University

The lush green environment of the North Coast benefits directly from our gentle coastal climate. Rain is frequent during the winter months, but offset by comfortable, sunny days. More extreme temperatures can be found within a half-hour drive from campus. There, you can relax in the hot summer sun or enjoy winter activities or cross-country skiing.

Los Angeles has warm summers and very mild winters. (The average daily minimum and maximum temperatures are 47 to 67 degrees for January and 64 to 83 degrees for July. The record low temperature downtown is 28 degrees.)

Cal Poly Pomona

Winters are mild with days averaging 60 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit and nights about 20 degrees cooler. Temperature fluctuations can be quick and unpredictable; December has been known to vary from 28 to 95 degrees.

The average annual rainfall is just 14 inches and most of it occurs November to March.

Late spring is cool and frequently overcast until midday

Summer days might begin cloudy, but the skies usually clear before noon. Early summer weather is comfortable, ranging from the low 80s in the daytime to the low 60s at night.

The warmest months of the year can be August through November, when the hot, dry Santa Ana desert winds periodically blow in from the east. Temperatures in July, August and September can range from the high 90s in the daytime to the low 70s at night. Even though a few 90-degree days may pop up, it usually begins to cool off in October and November when temperatures return to the low 80s in the daytime and the low 60s at night.

San Diego State University

Need you ask?? The weather is one of the most popular reasons people visit and move to "America's Finest City"! San Diego lies along and around one of the world's ten most beautiful protected natural harbors and has a very special "sea-washed, air-conditioned climate." The maximum average temperature of 70.8 degrees and a minimum of 55.4 degrees make the climate extraordinary.

San Francisco State University

The Bay Area is known for its microclimates and San Francisco neighborhoods have different climates as well. On the same day, it may be sunny in the Mission District and foggy in the Sunset District near San Francisco State University. Because the weather can be somewhat unpredictable, some residents wear layers of clothing and always pack an umbrella in case of showers or heavy fog.

Winter
It doesn't snow in San Francisco, but the city experiences colder temperatures -- lower 50s during the day and lower 30s at night -- and occasional winter storms.

Spring
Although spring mornings are foggy, the weather often clears up in the afternoon. Temperatures range from the 60s to 70s, but can be warmer.

Summer
Again, mornings are often foggy and afternoons sunny. Temperatures can reach the 90s.

Fall
This is the warmest time of year in San Francisco. In September and October, "Indian Summer" begins and temperatures can occasionally reach 100 degrees.

San Jos� is known for its Mediterranean climate, averaging 300 days of sunshine and an annual average of 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

The climate of San Marcos and the San Diego region is nearly perfect. The average daily temperature ranges between 66 F and 74 F with low humidity. The campus is only 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean and benefits from the marine climate.

Sonoma State University

As you might expect from a school located in the middle of California's premium wine country, the weather is quite good. Spring, summer, and fall have warm sunny days usually in the high 70s and 80s. Occasional morning fog and cool ocean breeze act as natural air conditioning for most of the year so there are only a few days where the temperature exceeds 90 degrees. During the winter it does rain with our typical rainfall around 35 inches.
