California State University Channel Islands, the 23rd campus in the California State University System, is located at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains midway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Committed to academic excellence, community involvement, environmental responsibility, and leadership for the 21st century, CSU Channel Islands invites students to visit our campus and Open Doors to the World.

CSU Channel Islands opened in fall 2002 with over 1,000 upper division transfer students and the first freshmen class entered in fall 2003. The current campus population is less than 4,000 students.
